EXTENSION - Cost of Living support of up to £10,000 available for local community groups delivering physical activity

Small community groups can apply for grants of up to £10,000 towards developing their grassroots projects to get people more active, from the 'Let's Get Moving Together Fund'.

Health groups, disability support networks and those working with inactive children and young people, adults and older adults, are among those who are being invited to apply for funding.

The funding will be focused on communities that are recovering from the pandemic and most impacted by the cost-of-living crisis.

Geoff Maltby, Sports Development Manager at Active Together, said: "We are looking to hear from smaller local community groups that are currently really struggling financially to keep people active through the cost-of-living crisis."

"Bids so far have ranged from a few hundred pounds for a local walking group through to £10,000 for larger projects which are aiming to engage significant numbers of residents in disadvantaged communities to be regularly active."

Funding Amount

The maximum amount of funding is £10,000. However, our average funding support is in the region of £3,000 - £5,000, so please only apply for what you really need so we can support as many organisations as possible.

Priority is likely to be given to organisations that have been unable to access funding from other sources in the last 12 months.

Applications are now being accepted until February 28th.
