Harborough District Council Grants Team

Nada Hankin, Alison McDaid and Sarah Pickering make up the team at HDC who administer the funding pots for the Community Grant Fund and Section 106 (Developer Contributions) Fund.
Despite having a number of hats at the Council, these ladies are always pro-active, looking for ways to help and support local groups and sports clubs that are looking to improve the health and wellbeing of local residents. A highlight of the year is usually the Funders Dragon's Den event which sees Funders invited to create a panel for would be applicants to pitch their project idea to. It's a great way of working out how to improve applications, who the right funders to approach might be and highlighting new and exciting projects that other teams at HDC may be able to help and support with.
This year just one example of an application which has been successful is the Padel Courts at Market Harborough Squash and Racket Ball Club. This facility has allowed racket sports to continue outdoors at the club when restrictions have prohibited indoor sport.
Well done ladies!
